    DOT rule change

I believe that some DOT rule changes were supposed to take effect July 1st regarding 34 hour resets (must include 2 time frames from 01:00 - 05:00) and a requirement for a 30 minute break during the driving day. Will changes to the log software be made to track these new requirements?

    Re: DOT rule change

Hello, Those changes don't take effect until July 1, 2013. We will have an update for Logbook when those changes go through.

    Re: DOT rule change

    Hello,

Some companies are already having their drivers implement the rule changes to familiarize them with the new rules. However July 1, 2013 is the effective date of the new rules where a driver will be in violation if not following the new rule set. I have provided a link to the FMCSA website that states the enforceable date for the new rules. I hope this information helps, please let me know if you have any questions.

    Have a great day.
